TruVolt Brands is looking for a Research Assistant to join its dynamic and growing team of top professionals that manufacture and sell (Amazon 3P, DTC and B2B), state-of-the art home, garden and landscaping equipment.  Think green! Think electric and battery powered snow blowers, lawnmowers, pressure washers and chainsaws.  TruVolt carries over 700 products, all of the Snow Joe brands and recently acquired Jetson (which currently produces the number 1 selling e-bicycle in the US) Shop Joe Brands: Snow Joe®, Sun Joe®, Aqua Joe®, Auto Joe® , Electric Bikes, Scooters, Hoverboards and More (ridejetson.com).

The Research Assistant (RA) provides support and assists in the conducting novel research and evaluation of consumable goods. The RA performs a variety of technical, analytical, and administrative duties both independently and under supervision, in the execution of bringing various consumables to market. The RA works closely with team members to ensure project milestones and goals are reached while maintaining flexibility, as appropriate, to meet changing needs and requirements.

The ideal teammate is responsible for:
  • Formulating and supporting development of new products based on relevant consumer insights in support of brand initiatives
  • Supporting key projects through the product development process as a Research and Development representative
  • Conducting performance and analysis evaluations of products
  • Reading, understanding and applying ISO/SOP/ANSI protocols

  • Skilled in written communications for accurate data entry
  • Strong research, analytical and evaluation skills
  • Proficient with common software applications, including MSOffice. Experience with databases or research reporting tools is helpful
  • Great interest in research and ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team setting
  • Strong interpersonal skills to nurture teamwork and foster an environment of achievement, as well as ability to learn new skills quickly
  • HS degree required, BA / BS preferred
  • 0-3 years of relevant experience required

This position will be required to work out of our Jersey City NJ office; this is not a remote role.
